D&C 88:47 “…any man who hath seen any or the least of these hath seen God moving in his majesty and power.”
The closer we get to the Lord, and the more we are made perfect by him, the more we will see things as they really are. Recognizing the hand of the Lord in all things does not mean seeing things that aren’t there, but rather seeing things as they really are. To see a flower as God’s creation, to see a sunset as a type of His coming, to see a mountain as a symbol of a temple, is not simply an exercise of the imagination.
This ability to see things as they really are is a sign of how close we are coming to Him, and how far we are in the perfecting process. That is why “if by the grace of God ye are perfect in Christ, ye can in nowise deny the power of God,” (Moroni 10:33) because you cannot look upon anything without being reminded of His power.
